HK Fish Kiln Project | 香港魚窯項目 2023-2024

这座柴烧窑建成于2023年12月27日，总共烧制了两窑，第一窑烧制于2023年12月27日-28日，共烧制了36小时。第二次烧制我们希望提高温度，窑身增加覆盖了一层泥，以提高保温的功能，同时增加了烟囱的高度。第二次烧制于2024年2月23日-24日。原本计划于2024年7月硕士毕业展同期进行第三次烧制，但因特殊原因没能如期实现。在我们毕业之后，鱼窑被拆除。
Background
背景
When Aby was getting to know potters in England (2020-2022) he met Svend Bayer and fired a woodfire kiln he made in Kigbeare. The experience and pots that came from it were inspiring and led to modelling a new kiln on the one that was used for making pots for an MA graduation exhibition at HKBU.
Aby and Iris built what became known as the Fish Kiln during the Christmas holiday and fired it using materials and tools at AVA.
当邵波在英国学习陶艺时（2020-2022年），他结识了Svend Bayer，并一起烧了Svennd在Kigbeare建的柴烧窑。这段经历以及从那个窑里烧出来的陶器，促使了这座窑的建成。
鱼窑第一版建成于2023年12月27日，同日开始烧第一窑。

Foundation
地基
The foundation raised the floor of the kiln up by at least two brick to protect the lawn tiling.
地基比地面高出两块砖，为了保护草坪地砖。
The kiln stretched about 3 and half meters, large enough to fit a person.
鱼窑的长度大概三米半，大到可以装下一个人。
We introduced a slight gradient by building up more layers of brick in the back and i believe the design would benefit from an even steeper incline.
我们通过在后面建造更多层砖块引入了轻微的坡度，我认为更陡的坡度会对设计有利。
Preperation for the Arch
为拱顶作准备
A former for the bricks was built from plywood thick enough to support their weight.
砖块的模型是用厚度足以支撑砖块重量的胶合板制成的。
Five arch plates were placed inside and supported with bricks.
里面放置五块拱板，并用砖支撑。
A thick plastic sheet was placed atop the wooden arches to support the bricks that would be placed in between the wooden support.
木拱顶上放置了一排厚塑料板，用来支撑放置在木支架之间的砖块。
Here we are mixing mortar from dirt, clay and water.
我们用泥土、粘土和水混合砂浆。
Arch Construction
拱顶的建造
Building up the side walls with the mortar placed more on the outer edge to effect a curving wall.
用砂浆建造侧壁，在外边缘填更多的砂浆，以形成弯曲的墙。
Cutting soft fire bricks for fitting as the arch-stone.
把软耐火砖切成合适的大小，用来填充窑顶缝合的位置。

After all the support were removed from the interior and the stuture became self supporting the kiln was packed with work made that season.
当内部的所有支撑物被拆除并且结构变得能够自我支撑后，我们才把当季制作的作品都装进去，作品均为素坯。
